Its historical roots are legendary. A ship of Spain’s armada should have grounded at the south coast of Ireland and a black-blue dog went ashore. This dog paired with home-grown ones.

The Kerry Blue was well known as guard for house and court, as hunter for small game and annihilator of vermin on court. Because of his multiple talents he became a beloved family hound for everyday life. Kerry Blue terrier are personalities with a distinctive character. They should be educated with much love from the first hours on.
